While you are in the room, please complete a student profile page so I will know how your child is being dismissed the first few days of school. If you have already purchased school supplies, you are more than welcome to drop them off. On your way out, make sure to take a welcome to school pack that is filled with lots of information about our class, our kindergarten team and our school. The class will be divided into 3 groups. Each group will have a specific start date. During these days the children will learn where everything is located at school and get acquainted with their peers in a small group setting. We will also begin our baseline assessments to determine your child's school readiness. Below you will find the different start dates. Group 1: Monday August 18th Group 2: Tuesday August 19th Group 3: Wednesday August 20th Beginning on Thursday August 21st all students will come together to school for the first time as an entire class. Monday -Thursday please bring your child to the classroom. Our doors will open at 7:35 a.m. for your child to unpack their belongings. We will begin our morning class meeting at 7:55 a.m. Beginning Friday August 22nd the children will report to the Media Center when they arrive to school. This will be our kindergarten morning meeting location. Your child will sit at our class table. Please say your goodbyes at the door and refrain from staying with your child in the media center. |
